i find that the best way to spot fake designer items on ebay is to study the original. for example if you love chanel, go to their website, look at the clothing, look at sites that sell chanel merchandise. if you can, go to boutiques that carry that label to look at the details, the sewing, the buttons, zippers, etc. if you make yourself familiar with the real thing it will be easier for you to spot the fakes.
another good tip, ask the seller about the authenticity. it doesn’t matter if they put in the item description that it’s genuine; people lie. ask the seller that if you were to purchase their item, let’s say a louis vuitton bag, and you were to take it to a louis vuitton boutique to verify it’s authenticity, would they accept a return if the boutique says it’s a fake? if you get no replies to that question, you KNOW it’s not real.
