Anya Hindmarch has designed a range of bags for Target in USA. These were for sale for a limited period only in the UK market via the Internet. Prices were in the region of around £30 for a medium sized bag – bear in mind that Anya’s quality designer bags are usually sold for hundres of pounds in the UK.

These bags were specifically designed for Target and are priced in the US between $19-$49.99, so that’s about £15 and up to us in the UK.

ebay buyers appear to be bidding high prices for these bags which are simply NOT WORTH it. The hardware is stamped ANYA HINDMARCH FOR TARGET or [BOW SYMBOL] FOR TARGET so you are not buying an Anya Hindmarsh designer bag, you are buying an Anya Hindmarsh bag designed for Target – a US version of T J Hughes, or similar. Would you buy a bag that was stamped LOUIS VUITTON FOR NETTO for example?

I just want buyers of these bags who think they are getting a designer bargain to know that these are sub-quality bags, the PVC is cheap & shiny – nothing like the quality of a designer Anya Hindmarch bag.

If you are just after the name or a cheap bag you will be sick of after a month then fine, but do not look at these bags as designer investments – they are NOT. Please don’t pay large sums for these bags as you will be highly disappointed. The ebay sellers are making major profits off ebayers who know nothing about the quality of the products and taking advantage of ebayers who simply want a cheap designer bag – and cheap is what you will get – in quality but not in price!

Any questions feel free to ask me. Happy to help.

Very quick guide:
talking with some suppliers and trying this myself at the LV store on Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, I found out this:
it might or might not be shocking to some of you, but if you walk into a LV store, you SAY that you bought your bag on the Internet, they AUTOMATICALLY say it’s a fake.
Why? Because you didn’t buy from them and they lost money on you.

Supplier experience: bought a bag from Neiman Marcus, walked into a store and asked them to authenticate it, saying she bought on the net. They said it was a fake.

My experience, YESTERDAY:
walked into the LV store on Rodeo Drive, said that my Speedy 30 Multicolore, Black, doesn’t have the 30 under the leather piece on top, and the LOUIS VUITTON mark on the leather piece where the keys are, was slightly put upwards compared to other bags I’ve seen. NOTE: these are supposed be major tells that it’s PROBABLY a fake.
RESPONSE: Did you buy it in a LV store? Me: Yes. Her: Then it’s real sir, don’t worry.
They are hand-made so minor differences occur.

See? Now, you have to think that it is true that minor differences can occur because THEY ARE hand-made.

This is also in defense of a lot of honest ebay sellers that see some listings shut-down because of answers people get in stores.

Somebody also answered me on a forum, saying that a SA in a Louis Vuitton store told her that ALL bags sold on Ebay are fake.

Finally, from a GUCCI Care Card:
“The distinctiveness of every item made with this type of leather lies in its manufacture by craft – only technique in order to bring out the properties of the natural skins, such as veining, dark and light shading, and reactions to water spray and rubbing. These features, together with the tendency towards scratching and scuffing and the characteristic fading in areas of greatest wear (corners, folds and edges), are to be considered qualities and not defects, and therefore fundamental factors in the natural appearance of the leather. Protect the product against rain and dry it immediately with a cloth should it get wet, as the leather has not been waterproofed. Should a light, white patina appear, clean with a soft, dry cloth. An item that is treasured, and its natural qualities appreciated in full, thus becomes unique, authentic and special. Our staff is always on hand for all information or other requirements.”

SPREAD THE WORD!

OnlyModa has used a team of specialist to put together this guide that will help you make the most out of your shopping experience for an authentic Louis Vuitton bag on eBay. Visit us at ONLYMODA STORE for the best selection of designer items at bargain prices.

Louis Vuitton bags are one of the most beautiful creations. They are a status symbol, they are durable and coveted. Many crooks thrive on the popularity of Louis Vuitton. But it is easier then you think to spot a fake.

Here are some signs of authentic Louis Vuitton bags:

1. Authentic Louis Vuitton items never have a tag hanging off it. What may look as a very pretty metal tag with words “Louis Vuitton” on it, a leather tag that says “Genuine leather” or a paper store tag is a sure sign of a fake.

2. Louis Vuitton bags and shoes DO NOT have embossed serial numbers! Only hard-sided luggage has them because the keys are made individually for each piece.

3. All hardware (snaps, buckles, zippers, anything of metal on the shoes and bags), except for feet at the bottom of bags always has either full words “Louis Vuitton” or “LV” on it.

4. Duffle bags NEVER have inside pockets.

5. Louis Vuitton bags and shoes are not lined with suede. The only exception to that rule maybe a limited edition seasonal style.

6. LVs on monogram canvas bags (murakami or traditional) never get interrupted. This means that a part of an L or a V will never be cut of at the seam. This is only true to the main front panel. You may see extremely minor interruptions in side panels and on shoes.

These pictures are a great example of authentic monogram. You can see how one piece of canvas was used for front, bottom and back and all LVs are complete.

7. You should try to compare pictures of the item up for auction to the pictures of what you know to be an authentic item- magazine articles, company website. Start with vuitton.com- official company website. Eluxury.com, NeimanMarcus.com and Style.com might be good sources as well.

8. Louis Vuitton label on the insole of shoes or inside the bag is never smudged and always evenly aligned. The word “Louis Vuitton” is always spelled in full. Check for a correct spelling, too. It would never have any additional markings or pictures, such as smiley face or shooting star. You will be surprised at the most ridiculous spellings and pictures we found on the labels of otherwise good imitations.

9. Check out mypoupette.com. It gives amazing insight on Louis Vuitton, sellers you can trust and you cannot. Of course, if the seller is not on the “black” list, but not on recommended one either, he/she might be just fine.

HOW TO RECOGNIZE AN HONEST SELLER

There are many red flags that help recognize a dishonest seller, however there are also many dishonest sellers that have learned how to look like a legitimate one.

1. First of all, see what other items this seller offers. Somebody who has always only been a buyer or sold very inexpensive things or completely different type of product (computer nick knacks, for example) and suddenly has 10 Vuitton bags is definitely suspicious. To research this, you can either look at seller’s feedback or go to “Advanced Search”, then “Search by seller” and make sure to check “include complete items”. You can research their bidding history the same way.

2. Also, make sure that the seller actually has the item in their hands. Pictures used in their auction may have been stolen from another seller, magazine or website. If you see that the pictures are professional and could be from a major retailer’s website or an article, ask to see the pictures of the actual item. If the item for sale is pictured, ask to send you a picture of a detail that is not featured- close up of a shoe buckle, bottom of a bag, etc.

3. If it looks too good to be true price wise, most likely it is! Research how much legitimate sellers ask for a similar item. You can do that by gong to “Advanced search”, then put it your search words and mark “Competed listings only”. If you see that it regularly sells for more- be alert. Why would anybody be willing to sell something cheaper, when they can easily get the same amount with everybody else?
It is, of course, reasonable to find small fluctuation in price within sellers. There can be a good explanation- last item in stock, minor scratches, etc.

4. Look at the return policy. Contradictory to what it may seem, sellers with full refund, no questions asked policy are a huge red flag! They do this to avoid negative feedback. They would take anything back, do not charge any restocking fees, so their feedback is flawless, while they may be selling nothing but fakes. Historically, legitimate sellers most of the time have a final sale policy, however state that they guarantee authenticity.

5. If the seller takes paypal, make sure that she states that she only ships to confirmed addresses. It is OK if they make exception for buyers with a large number of feedbacks, repeat customers or very inexpensive items. PayPal will randomly take funds away from sellers if the address is unconfirmed, and all sellers know that. So why would they risk loosing hundreds of dollars, unless they are planning on taking off with the money (and no goods shipped to you), before PayPal gets to them.

6. Be cautious of brand new sellers selling expensive goods. You can recognize a new seller by a little yellow sign of a person next to their use ID.

WHAT QUESTIONS TO ASK

1. You have to ask at least one question to make sure that the seller replies. You can do this by pressing the “Ask seller a question” link on the top right of every auction listing.
Bring up one of the points we discuss in this book. If everything has been covered in the auction page- ask anything at all. “Where are you located?” “Will you ship overnight?” “Do you have more that one of these?”, etc.
Honest sellers welcome questions, even if they sound silly, because it is an opportunity for them to further promote their product.
If the seller does not reply to your question, he/she will most likely not reply if there is a problem with your purchase, either.
Beware of stolen eBay identities. By asking a question you may thwart a plot to steal your money. This is what happened to one of our staff members: she was about to buy a $6000 Hermes bag. The auction looked perfect from every angle. She stuck to our recommendations and asked seller a question. Imagine her surprise when she received a reply, stating that this was not this person’s auction and somebody else used her ID and she has just contacted eBay! The auction was taken off eBay in a matter of hours, but in those hours our staff member could have lost $6000!

2. Make sure that the seller ships to your destination. Some sellers will only ship to continental United States or to a limited list of countries.

3. A seller will display a double “P” next to their auction title on the search page if they take PayPal. However, they may still have some restrictions, such as they would only ship to a confirmed address, or will only accept PayPal from those living in the US. If you are planning on using PayPal and have an unconfirmed address or live outside of the US, double check to make sure that the seller will accept your method of payment.

4. If the seller requires or offers shipping insurance, make sure that they will work with you on filing the claim or will take responsibility if anything happens. Keep in mind that USPS, FedEx and UPS will only allow the shipper to file the claim and will send the insurance payment to shipper only. It means that even if you have insurance but seller is not willing to help you out, you get no claim filed at all, or the seller keeps the insurance check when it comes.

5. Ask if there are any marks, scratches or cuts on the shoes or bag. “New” does not equal “perfect condition”

We hope you found this guide helpful. Do not forget to visit Our Store for the best selection of authentic designer items at bargain prices.

Happy Bidding!

ADMIT IT! WE HAVE ALL RAN INTO SOME FAKES. NOT ON PURPOSE THOUGH! SOMETIMES WE HAVE TO JUST USE OUR HEAD WHEN PURCHASING LOUIS VUITTON ANYTHING ON THE INTERNET WHEN IT IS NO FROM ELUXURY. A LOT OF PEOPLE PN THEIR GUIDES SAY YOU CAN PURCHASE LOUIS VUITTON FROM NET A PORTER. WRONG! NET A PORTER DOES NOT SELL LOUIS VUITTON! YOU CAN CHECK FOR YOURSELF! THE ONLY AUTHORIZED WEBSITE TO SELL LOUIS VUITTON IS ELUXURY. THIS IS ON EVERY GUIDE YOU SEE, BUT ITS BETTER TO JUST REPEAT THAT OVER AND OVER TO GET IT STUCK IN YOUR HEAD! ANYWAY ENOUGH RAMBLING! AND ON!

HERE’S YOUR BASICS! THESE ARE NO BRAINERS RIGHT HERE! SOME OF THE THINGS LISTED DON’T REALLY MEAN A THING. BUT I HAVE PURCHASED SOME BAGS OFF OF EBAY WHERE I TOLD THEY WERE AUTHENTIC, AND SOME OF THE THINGS LISTED BELOW, LIKE SIMPLE LITTLE STAMPS WERE NOT EVEN ON THE BAGS! WOW!

1. UNDER A SPEEDY 30 (THE HOTTEST LV ON EBAY) THERE SHOULD BE A STAMP UNDERNEATH THE LEAF WITH THE NUMBER 30. THE SAME WITH A SPEEDY 25 EXCEPT THE NUMBER 25, UNDER THE LEAF!

2. ON THE LEAF THERE SHOULD BE LOUIS VUITTON PARIS MADE IN FRANCE, STAMP!

3. LOOK ON THE INSIDE OF ANY HANDBAG, OR OTHER TYPE OF ACCESSORY. THERE SHOULD BE A STAMP THAT SAYS LOUIS VUITTON PARIS MADE IN FRANCE . ALL THOUGH! LOUIS VUITTON DOES HAVE FACTORIES IN THE UNITED STATES, SPAIN, GERMANY, ITALY, AND AGAIN ALONG WITH FRANCE. MOST FAKES, REALLY ONLY USE MADE IN FRANCE. THEY DON’T REALLY USE ANY OTHER COUNTRY.

4. ARE THERE THREADS ON THE BAG OR OTHER ACCESSORY NICE AND TIGHT? IT SHOULD BE! ARE THE STITCHES NICE AND EVEN? THEY SHOULD BE! ALL LOUIS VUITTON ITEMS ARE LOVINGLY HANDMADE , BY THE WONDERFUL CRAFTERS!

5. IS THERE A DATE CODE? THER SHOULD BE ON EVERY HANDBAG AND ACCESSORY! I DON’T KNOW ABOUT THE VINTAGE PIECES THOUGH, THIS ARTICLE IS MAINLY FOR MODERN DAY LOUIS VUITTON! SOMETIMES IT WILL BE THE HARDEST THING TO FIND AND SOMETIMES ALL THOUGH VERY RARELY YOU MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO FIND IT, UNLESS YOU START RIPPING THE BAG APART! SO DON’T START JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS OR ACCUSATIONS! DO YOUR BEST TO LOOK!

6. IS THE LEATHER SMOOTH OR BUMPY? THIS PART DOESN’T REALLY MATTER. I HAVE READ OTHER GUIDES ABOUT THIS HERE ON EBAY, AND MOST TEND TO BE WRONG. I HAVE PURCHASED SEVERAL LOUIS VUITTON ITEMS FROM ELUXURY, AND ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE LV’S SOMETIMES IT WILL BE SMOOTH AND SOMETIMES IT WILL BE A LITTLE BUMPY. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY!

7. LOOK CLOSELY AT THE FONT OF THE BAGS? NOW SOMETIMES PEOPLE JUST CRACK ME UP HERE ON EBAY! LOUIS VUITTON USES THE EXACT SAME FONT.

8. OH WOW! HERE’S A REALLY GOOD ONE! THIS IS ON EVERY SINGLE GUIDE YOU WILL READ! BUT PEOPLE TRY TO PULL THSI CRAP ALL THE TIME! LOUIS VUITTON NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER DISCOUNTS, WHOLESALE, HAS CLEARANCES, IMPERFECT BAGS, NOTHING LIKE THIS! IMPERFECT BAGS SOMEONE CLAIMS! WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! LOUIS VUITTON DESTROYS ALL IMPERFECT BAGS! IF SOMEONE EVER CLAIMS THE ABOVE STAY AWAY FROM THEM! THIS MEANS THEY ARE SELLING FAKES! REPLICAS! KNOCK OFFS! COUNTERFEITS! I KNOW, NASTY LITTLE WORDS! (:

9. TAGS, TAGS, TAGS, TAGS, TISK, TISK, TISK, TISK, TISK, TISK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I SEE THIS EVERY SINGLE DAY ON EBAY! EVERY DAY! THERE IS A PAPER TAG HANGING FROM THE PURSE, OR THERE IS A PLASTIC SOMETHING! NO NO! LOUIS VUITTON NEVER DOES THAT! LOUIS VUITTON DOESN’T EVEN HAVE THOSE LITTLE PLASTIC THINGS! THESE BAGS MAY BE AUTHENTIC AND THE PEOPLE JUST PUT THEM ON, BUT THEN USUALLY THEY ARE FAKES!

10. AUTHENTICATION SERVICES!!! HMMM!!! GO TO THE LV BOUTIQUE! YOU CAN GO THERE AND GET IT DONE FOR FREE, AND GET IT DONE RIGHT, OTHER THEN THE OTHER AUTHENTICATION SERVICES, THEY TEND TO GET IT WRONG! NO PUN INTENDED, BUT TRUST ME I HAVE HAD EXPERIENCE WITH THAT! SO JUST GO TO AN LV BOUTIQUE!

11. HEY EVERYONE GUESS WHAT! I JUST TYPED IN LOUIS VUITTON ON GOOGLE, WENT TO SOME AUCTION WEBSITE WHERE THE PERSON CLAIMED THAT THEY HAD AN AUTHENTIC LOUIS VUITTON ALONG WITH AN AUTHENTICITY CERTIFICATE BY LOUIS VUITTON THEMSELVES, AND I JUST CAUGHT 2 EBAY SELLERS TRYING TO PURCHASE THEM. THE DATE TODAY IS 8/12/06 AS I WRITE THIS AND I JUST FOUND THIS OUT 8/12/06! I DONT THINK IM ALLOWED TO SYA THEIR USERNAMES SO ILL GIVE YOU A HINT! ONE IS FROM GERMANY, AND THE OTHER IS A POWER SELLER HERE ON EBAY THAT SPECIALIZES IN SELLING LOUIS VUITTON AND THE PERSON HAS EVEN WRITTEN A FEW GUIDES THEM SELVES! TISK TISK!

12. ANOTHER THING! LOUIS VUITTON DOES NOT GIVE WRITTEN STATEMENT ANYMORE ABOUT AUTHENTICITY! THEY USE TO DO THIS A LONG LONG TIME AGO, BUT PEOPLE WERE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THIS SO THEY STOPPED! SO NEVER TRUST ANYONE WHEN THEY SAY THEY HAVE A STATEMENT FROM LV ABOUT THEIR BAGS! THIS MEAN THEY ARE FAKE! FAKE! FAKE!

13. ZIPPER TIME! LOUIS VUITTON USES MAINLY ONE TYPE OF ZIPPER! THIS IS YKK! HERE IT IS AGAIN! YKK! THAT IS THE BRAND!

13. I WILL START SELLING MY LOUIS VUITTON HERE IN A FEW WEEKS SO CHECK MY USERNAME IN A FEW WEEKS! ALL MY BAGS AND ACCESSORIES ARE AUTHENTIC! AUTHENTIC, AUTHENTIC, AUTHENTIC, AUTHENTIC, AUTHENTIC, AUTHENTIC, AUTHENTIC, AUTHENTIC, AUTHENTIC, AUTHENTIC, AUTHENTIC, AUTHENTIC!

14. OH BY THE I HAVE A TON OF CLEARANCE, IMPERFECT WHOLESALE LOUIS VUITTON! NOW DOESN’T THAT JUST SEEM REALISTIC? JSUT KIDDING! (:

I WROTE THIS GUIDE BECAUSE IAM SICK OF SEEING COUNTERFEIT BAGS! EVERY WHERE I GO! THAT’S ALL I SEE! EVEN ON EBAY!

I decided to write this guide for my recent obsession with Vintage Designer bags particularly Louis Vuitton French Company and Gucci Accessory Collection Pieces. When collecting designer handbags authenticity is very important and these two collection I have studied and the authenticity can be much better determined. That is one reason to collect vintage( not having to pick through all the fakes). The second reason is that recently large respected designers such as Juicy Couture, Coach, Cole Haan, Keneth Cole have all started manufacturing their bags in China and other cheap labor countries. Vintage bags were all made in the USA and Europe. That is why they last so long because of their amazing quality.

Louis Vuitton Manufactured by The French Company USA

The Louis Vuitton French Company can be determined by one distinctive characteristic of a paper tag inserted in most of the handbags reading ” Manufactured in the U.S.A. Under Special License to the french Company”. Unfortuney because these tags are made of such fragile material, some authentic bags wont have this tag, however I only purchase bags that have the tag. Also larger pieces have a large paper tag inside a tab.

The second characterists is usually the name Talon on the zipper however there are several other zipper names as well.

Another great way to make a distinction between an authentic vintage LV is the leather. It is not the same leather used on the bags today. This leather was pre-dyed to a rich brown color like shown on the interior of the bag above.

Also the majority of these Louis Vuitton Bags were made with 2 Monogram Canvas pieces. If you look at the bottom you will see a long leather strip connecting the two. These means that bags such as the Speedy will not have upside down LV’s on one side.

It should be well noted that Louis Vuitton French Company Bags cannot be determined by continuity. The LV’s aren’t always aligned, and are some times cut off ( see the picture above). The stitching often wont be perfect and many vintage bags have parts that have been restitched.

Another thing that should be noted are the discontinued styles. There are several Louis Vuitton Bags such as the one in the picture below that are discontinued and are hard to come by especially in good condition. It sometimes throws people off when looking for an authentic Louis Vuitton because they assume it might be fake, however if you see a Vintage French Company Bag in a style you’ve never seen it is most lilely a discontinued style

***With all this being said it’s important to point out that even as far back as the 70’s & 80’s there were still Fake/ Replica Louis Vuitton Bags, however they are not as common as the replicas today. If you are someone interested in buying a Louis Vuitton Bag I highly suggest looking for a vintage French Company Bag. You can find amazing vintage LV in great condition and pay 100-400 instead of up to 1,000 and more. I also consider these bags to be unique and collectors items.

Gucci Accesory Collection

The Gucci Accessory Collection vintage bags are the most popular and recognizable Gucci Bags. They are easiest to recognize by the signature blue or brown GG Vinyl logo and are often accompanied with the signature Gucci fabric stripe. Below are two examples of Accessory Collection Gucci Handbags. Note the Signature Gucci Stripe and GG logo’s.

These are my favorite vintage Gucci bags to collect because of the distinctive red and white paper certificate located underneath the Gucci Tag. These tags are very fragile even more so than the Louis Vuitton paper tags. I noticed the paper tag has 2 layers which often seperates, also the tag seems to seperate very easily from the seam of the tag. Most accessory collection bags no longer have this paper certificate because of this however I like to only purchase bags that still have this because it’s more of an authenticity guarentee as these certificates arent replicated although if you know the collection they aren’t hard to tell. The picture below shows the Tag with the paper of authenticity.

With that being said though, the paper certificate makes the vintage bag more rare and expensive. If you are looking for an affordable authentic Gucci you might consider buying an accesory collection bag without the paper certificate. I haven’t heard or seen any replica “Accessory Collection” Gucci bags and that is why they are so great to purchase.

.

eBay is a great place to buy….until you’ve found yourself ripped off by someone claiming “authenticity” and then disappears into internet etherland when you try to make good on claims to return your money. This recently happened to me so I’d like to share what I’ve learned over a recent experience buying a fake handbag. There were various clues that should have tipped me off that this seller was not on the level–but at the time, with over 200 eBay transactions under my belt, I didn’t think I would be tricked. Hindsight being 20-20, it all makes sense today.

Each of these clues by themselves do not necessarily predict a negative experience–but put them all together, let the buyer beware!

Clue #1: Does the seller use Paypal? Of course, not all sellers do use Paypal, but for higher dollar winning bids, it may make a lot of sense to use Paypal due to guarantees available and tracing the transaction. The particular seller I bought from only took money orders and personal checks. My lesson learned was to not even bid on something over $75 without Paypal unless I’m prepared for the possibility of losing my money.

Clue #2: Check the feedback. If the seller has private feedback, that makes it much harder to identify how they have done before. Even if feedback is present, not all feedback is legitimately given. Just as in a setup in a live auction where there is someone bidding up the price of the item being auctioned, the seller can have a phony transaction occur with an associate, the associate gives raves for feedback, while no money or sale may have really take place. The seller can then point you to “check out my feedback.” When I checked my seller’s feedback carefully after receiving a phony handbag, I found multiple feedbacks provided by the same person (all in a row). Feedback listed for my seller had the very same format for almost every feedback line and, yes, they were all very positive! The seller had under 70 feedbacks, almost all given during the same week. By itself, for a large seller on eBay, this would not be unusual. However, for the average seller with fewer than 70 feedbacks, it raises questions.

Clue #3: Time allowed for the auction. If the seller has 12 Louis Vuitton bags for auction and they all are due to close on one day, that would raise a flag for me.

Clue #4: Wording in the listing. Check out the language of the listing. Are there any unusual phrases or turns of expression? Try typing in that particular phrase in your eBay search window. What comes up? In my seller’s case, the odd phrasings turned up in listings for four other eBay IDs. Each listing had the exact same phrasing and styles. AND, when I checked out the feedback for those other four eBay IDs, the very same eBay buyer IDs had given feedback, using the same feedback words and phrases. It now appears odd that one person would buy six Louis Vuitton handbags from four sellers who have the exact same listing, and provide the very same comments for each.

Clue #5: Check out the eBay tips for purchasing. When I read my listing, all the bona fide identifiers were listed in the ad. However, when I got my handbag, they weren’t there. At least by reading the information provided by legitimate sellers, you can have a heads up and be alert when your item arrives.

There are many honest eBay sellers out there and my experience hasn’t deterred me from buying at eBay. I will put together as much as I can prior to bidding in the future to give myself the best opportunity to buy from a legitimate eBay seller! Good luck!

There are many Louis Vuitton handbags offered. First of all LouisVuitton NEVER sells seconds. any goofs are distroyed. Even though the Handbags are described as Authehtic, they are not all Genuine Louis Vuitton. Many reproductions are being made of this product. And they are very nice hand bags, for what they are. To Pay $50 to $250 is a normal price for a nice reproduction. and this bag will give you many years of service. But, if you want the REAL thing, here are some factors to look for.

Very heavy vinyl (LVs rarely split or peal), heavy suede interior. Check the pattern on the bag, L.V. is very careful to line up his patterns to come out the same all along the seam lines. There is a hidden code number in each bag. this number is stamped into the lining. (Not on a leather tag in full view) The leather straps are alway heavy, tan leather, and darken with age.

Each bag comes with a dust cover bag. and ask for the original receipt or card that came with the bag. If you intend to spend $800 or more, be sure the seller can show authentication.

Shop, Shop, Shop, compare what is offered, and how they are described and what the pictures look like,

Last of all, NEVER be afraid to ask questions. Ebay makes it easy to contact the seller before you buy.
